The bill (Reg. No. 7019) determines the sources for covering the paid one-time leave due to adoption of a child, specifies the terms of wages calculation for this period, and defines the categories of persons entitled to this leave.
The Committee members support the bill, as its adoption will enhance protection of rights of adoptive parents, arrange the conditions for realization of the right of orphans and children deprived of parental care for family upbringing, eliminate the legislative gaps and harmonize the Law "On Leaves" with the Code of Laws on Labour of Ukraine.
